Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions are a fantastic way to see where you currently stand in your BJJ career. The BJJ Amersfoort team therefore traveled to Rotterdam last weekend to test their Jiu-Jitsu skills. The students of Amersfoort BJJ, Job, Jelle, Ruben, Pieter, and Michiel showed that it is possible to apply the concepts and principles of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in practice, under high resistance, after just a few months of training. Ruben and Job managed to win a gold and silver BJJ medal.
Participating in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments is not mandatory, but it is advisable to do it at least once, to test how you perform under pressure and resistance. We at BJJ Amersfoort can guide you if you feel mentally and physically ready for this. You also don't have to worry about age and weight, as there are different age divisions and weight classes.
