Assaulted DJ receives helping hand from fellow townsman

AMERSFOORT Two weeks ago, Brian Rijerkerk from Amersfoort was severely assaulted in the city center of Amersfoort, and Abdel Ziamari from BJJ Amersfoort wants to offer his fellow townsman a helping hand. The owner of AmersfoortBJJ gives Jiu-Jitsu lessons and hopes to teach the 23-year-old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defense.

In the night of January 10 to January 11, Rijerkerk was walking at the intersection of Lavendelstraat and Havik when he was suddenly punched and then assaulted. The twenty-something suffered several fractures and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
On Facebook, Rijerkerk, who is a DJ in and around Amersfoort, calls on witnesses to come forward. "Let's make sure that these kinds of people get the punishment they deserve."
This message was also read by Amersfoort resident Ziamari. "You are welcome on our mats for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defense classes," writes the Amersfoort resident, who started a Jiu-Jitsu school after 33 surgeries (you can read this impressive story here) and subsequently received significant media attention.
"I offer this to you free of charge after such a cowardly act. I hope you recover quickly and can pick up the thread again."
